It wasn’t an ideology, like communism, or a philosophy or religion, but the environment – clean air and water. Not the ‘tree huggers’ against America’s forest industry, oil business, mining or manufacturing, but America vs America’s business run amok.

Here’s how it started: GM/Moscow, DaimlerChrysler/Beijing and Ford/Malaysia output increased and overtook US production in the middle 2000s. Almost all American manufacturing companies had moved to Asia and Eastern Europe to circumvent labor and environmental regulations. Unrestricted pollution by American businesses operating over there changed the weather patterns over here, and along our coast, US cities disappeared under rising sea levels, the western desert stretched from California to the Carolinas, and the temperate zone to northern Canada.

American ‘interests’ operating in other countries are killing us all, and the solution is clear. We’ve got to stop them.
